I’m Malenka -

a lifelong maker who spends her days in the studio, the garden, and the kitchen. My pottery lives at the intersection of all three. I love enriching my home life with beautiful utilitarian objects that turn everyday tasks into ritual.

I've been making and teaching ceramics for years and I still delight in every step of the process. Teaching brings me as much joy as making - there’s nothing quite like watching someone fall in love with clay for the first time.

I teach private lessons and workshops at Milkweed Clay Studio, and group classes CityClay and Piedmont Virginia Community College. I also co-founded a clay program at The ARC of the Piedmont, and working with the artists there has given me endless reasons to smile!

My greatest happiness is knowing my pieces have found a place in someone's everyday life.
